Rabbit and Pork

The pre-match fish and chips had been devoured. Pulses were racing. Adrenaline surged through our veins and anticipation hung in the air like a dense fog. Yes, it’s that time of the year again; The ABBA bowling league has commenced.

OINK took the lanes by storm (sort of), and started the season with a tentative win. I think it’s fair to say our style was haphazard and enthusiastic…. a heady combination which ultimately resulted in a certain degree of success!

We bore witness to some very interesting, and let’s say unique bowling styles, such as the camp ‘post bowl flick of the leg’ and the more laid back ‘lob it and see where it ends up’ approach. We looked on in amazement as other teams in the league adopted a focused, and regimented stance…. not really our style, however there was brief mention of an all in one pink team uniform. Fingers crossed this doesn’t come into fruition.

All in all an excellent evening of beers, bowling and banter! Roll on next months meeting when no doubt we will up our game…..
