The Unofficial Tin Tin Credits strike a chord with Spielberg

With the release of TinTin now at the cinemas it’s amazing to see the lengths some fans will go to for the love of their favourite films and characters. The link below shows the Unofficial Film Intro credits for TinTin which were created by London-based designer, Illustrator and fan James Curran. He captures the essence of the original artwork in a simple but informative way and has created something quite beautiful. Curran created the video in just about a month with music from the original TV series. As a huge fan of the series, he incorporated elements from all 24 books, even if they weren’t a big part of the movie.

It has made such an impression on the web faithful that through bloggers, it found its way back to Speilberg himself! Who then invited Curran to the UK premiere and subsequently hired him for the next film! If ever there was proof that sometimes hard work, initiative and an apparent love of what you do can be as rewarding as the project themselves, this is it!

Well done Mr. Curran, a beautiful and understated piece of work which portrayed a character that captured the hearts of many! The Bar has been set, and the Official credits will have its work cut out to beat this. James Curran gets the OINK ‘likes’ seal of approval!
